Instances and Access
eScriptorium is decentralized open-source software. While the core team does not currently host an instance that is accessible to the public at large, many individual researchers, universities, and research institutions run their own.
| Instance Name | Institution | Contact / Support |
|---|---|---|
| manuscriptologIA (msIA) | EPHE/PSL | Link |
| Cremma | Inria | Access requests (for projects) [Access requests (for individual researchers, students, …)] https://forms.gle/BQTACy67S1M8F8YB6 Link |
| OpenITI | University of Maryland | Link |
| UB Mannheim | University Library Mannheim | Access requests Link |
Access policies vary by institution (often restricted to students/staff or specific project partners). You can send a message to the maintainers of the instance through the contact form of each instance. For some there are dedicated ways to request access. If you are an individual researcher or a small project and do not want to set up your own instance the Cremma Call linked above is your best option for now.
Note: If you run an eScriptorium instance and would like to be listed here, please contact the maintainers or submit a pull request.
